The results of neighborhood restoration on inner-city Portland.

Nehemiah Program

Then Nehemiah Housing Program was a federally funded program for infill housing redevelopment in distressed neighborhoods. The Northeast Community Development Corporation built over 150 new houses for first time home buyers in inner-city Portland. Andrews Architects designed various single family detached, zero lot line paired houses, and rowhouses required for the available sites.

The project was awarded a "Citation for Neighborhood Restoration" in 1993 by the Portland Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
