Marian's Bat House

Presentation of Marian's Bat House by Architect-Builder Jim Andrews, Summer 2003.

The Architect mounted the Bat House high on the wall of a shed located in Oregon's Coast Range. The south-facing location should provide cozy roosting shelter for native Oregon bat species like Hoary Bats, Townsend's Big- Eared, Silver-Haired, or even BIG BROWN BATS!

All of these native bats are voracious insectivores, so Marian and her family can look forward to fewer of those pesky mosquitoes on summer evenings.
