Abbey Heights Apartments

Abbey Heights Apartments is a 32 unit development providing permanent housing for farmworker families. The project includes 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom apartments, with a community building, central playground and common yard.

The internal driveway layout traverses the sloping site such that 23 of the 32 units are on a handicap accessible route, and all of the units have a full bathroom and at least one bedroom on the accessible floor to assure future handicap adaptability.

A common laundry facility in the Community Building adjoins the playground so a parent can supervise a child in the playground while attending to the laundry.

Storm water is collected through a bioswale system to a detention pond to minimize the impact of storm drainage on downstream facilities.

The project is funded through Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

The facility is owned and operated by The Housing Authority of Yamhill County.

The developer is CASA of Oregon. The General Contractor is Tri-West Building Corp.
